Bhavani was trained from a young age by Pt. Satya Narayana Charka then later by Pt. Birju Maharaj in the art of Kathak dance. Her own natural inquisitive nature led her to study Bollywood, Flamenco & Modern dance disciplines. She then took the concepts of all three art forms & created her own distinct style. It was this unique skill set & reputation as an innovator that eventually led to her being cast on a three year run as Oceane in Cirque Du Soleil’s Dralion. Being on stage & in front of the camera is her natural state. Her training in acting at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts led to her recent starring in the feature film, Unfreedom, set in both New York & Delhi, with an all star cast.
