India has Banned this Movie owing to the Fear that people might Adopt to this Culture
It’s been ages since India has voted against granting gay rights and public display of affection and now they have also banned a movie titled- ‘Unfreedom’ that is revealed to contain scenes of homosexuality. This has caused such an uproar that the makers of this movie are promoting it on the norm that it’s banned in India for it works up the notches owing to general human tendency of being attracted to anything that is- B.A.N.N.E.D.
The story of the movie revolves around a girl who resists to arranged marriage and confesses to her parents that she is gay by nature and that she wants to spend the rest of her life with her lesbian partner. Nudity and love-making scenes between two females has irked the censor board and they have decided that it might harm the so-called morale that now exists in India. Also, the other side of the story revolves around a Muslim guy who’s accused of terrorism.
The film maker even appealed to Film Certification Apellate Tribunal (FCAT) but was denied a certificate again owing to the same reasons and now he has decided to appeal to the High court speaking for film-making rights.
What irks us is the fact that people are only against to showing rapes, nudity and women exploitation on screen but not in real-life?
The why’s behind which, may open a can of worms and lead to an epidemic none can control.
Thank god, we have the censor-board to protect us from such ill-treatment. *Pun-intended*
